Programming/Test Fits
In order to determine the physical space needs for a client, we must first understand the client's organization. Through meetings with the client, we gain a thorough understanding of the current conditions of the client's space as well as the client's needs for the future.
At LB Architects, we are committed to the concept of the balance between form and function. We understand that a beautiful space must also function flawlessly. Through the programming process, we collect the data required to develop a program document that includes all of the necessary quantitative information as well as the desired qualitative aspects of the workspace. The document outlines personnel requirements, office sizes and adjacencies, but also focuses on more qualitative building characteristics such as natural light, window views and desired building amenities.
The program document is used as the guide for selecting potential locations and buildings that will meet the requirements outlined in the program. We create analytical floor plans graphically defining the allocation of spaces outlined in the program document. These test fits provide the Client with clear and concise options which will allow them to make an appropriate and educated decision.
