Personnel
Steven Brooks, AIA, ASID, is the Principal responsible for coordination of design, product resources and operations management. His understanding of both design requirements and marketplace factors is valued by contract clients and manufacturing clients alike.
Mr. Brooks, together with Marcy Newman, has directed design efforts for the relocation and expansion of the New York office of Lovells, one of the world's largest international law firms, and also designed the expansion and merger of Bryan Cave LLP and Robinson Silverman & Pearce LLP at 1290 Avenue of the Americas. Along with Associate Lynn Boccardi, Mr. Brooks and Ms. Newman completed a conference center for the New York City Board of Education and completed the design for the award winning City Hall Academy, an innovative educational school located on the first floor of the historic Tweed Courthouse. Mr. Brooks has directed interior design efforts for Globix in New York, London and Silicon Valley, for GRP Records, N2K/Music Boulevard, Hoegh Capital, Granite Broadcasting Corporation and the Permanent Mission of Singapore to the United Nations. He has completed the interior design for the Catherwood Library for the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and the ILR Conference Center. He has led the team for the expansion of law firms Philips Nizer and Dechert.
Steven Brooks is an honors graduate of Pratt Institute from which he holds a Bachelor's in Industrial Design. He is a registered architect licensed in New York and an NCIDQ qualified interior designer. He has been an instructor at Paier College of Art in New Haven, the Parsons School of Design in New York and an adjunct professor at the New York School of Interior Design. Mr. Brooks is a recipient of IBD awards for seating and furniture systems and has led many of Loffredo Brooks Architects P.C.'s award winning interior design projects. He was also product designer for the award winning S/4 Series, a complete group of furniture components for middle management offices, and in conjunction with the Steelcase design team, played the lead role in the design and development for Steelcase's furniture system "Context". Together with Lynn Boccardi and Marcy Newman, Mr. Brooks won last year's StarNet Award Educational Category for the City Hall Academy.
Frank Loffredo, AIA is the Principal responsible for overseeing all phases of projects. Merging design knowledge with strength in project management and on site supervision, Mr. Loffredo has earned the valued respect of Loffredo Brooks Architects P.C.'s clients.
Mr. Loffredo's accomplishments with Loffredo Brooks Architects P.C. have been extremely diverse, from commercial offices, retail stores, showrooms, educational facilities, museums, to several private residences in the tri-state area. Some examples of his work can been seen at the New York City Police Museum at 100 Old Slip, as well as the showroom and office space for Ferrari North America in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. In addition, he has managed and led the design team for showrooms, offices and retail spaces for Nautica Inc., as well as John Varvatos retail store in West Hollywood, California. He has managed and maintained ongoing relationships with several major law firms including Sullivan and Cromwell LLP, Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP, Coudert Brothers LLP, Bryan Cave LLP, Dechert LLP and Philips Nizer LLP, Pryor Cashman Sherman & Flynn LLP, and has worked with. Michael Kors (USA), Inc., Forbes, and Forbes.com.
Mr. Loffredo was retained by Pillsbury Winthrop LLP as their Project Manager for their 180,000 square foot relocation from Battery Park to 1540 Broadway. Utilizing his managing skills, which he applies to all of Loffredo Brooks' projects, he led the project team and assisted the Client by preparing all of the Request for Proposals necessary to assemble the team and developed and maintained the project budget. He was instrumental in negotiating and value engineering to bring the project to completion below the budget and on schedule.
Frank Loffredo graduated from the City College of New York with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture. He is a registered architect licensed in New York and New Jersey and is an active participant in the American Institute of Architects.
Lynn Boccardi is an Associate of the Firm and Senior Designer/Project Manager responsible for overseeing projects from the initial programming stage through final completion. Her dedication, creativity and focus are valuable assets to the firm and to Clients. She also plays an active role in firm management.
Ms. Boccardi has been instrumental in completing projects for the restack and expansion of Bryan Cave LLP at their Rockefeller Center location consisting of 180,000 square feet; the expansion of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, a large international law firm located in downtown Manhattan, creating a Conference Center floor with substantial state-of-the-art audiovisual and HVAC equipment, high-end traditional details and finishes; and for Lovells, an international law firm relocating and expanding its New York office to 60,000 square feet of space in midtown. She has also completed projects for Brown, Raysman, Millstein, Felder & Steiner, LLP, a law firm specializing in internet and technology occupying 175,000 rentable square feet in midtown Manhattan; The Chase Manhattan Bank, overseeing the renovation of a private bank to a retail branch bank in a historic Landmark building; Cherry Lane Music, a music publishing company who moved their Westchester, New York headquarters to midtown Manhattan, and subsequently expanded at their new location; the FB Heron Foundation; the Charles Hayden Foundation; The New York City Police Museum; and City Hall Academy, an award winning project in the Landmark Tweed Courthouse in downtown Manhattan. Ms. Boccardi has also managed interior design projects for Cornell University for the School of Industrial and Labor Relations Catherwood Library and Conference Center; the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division renovation in midtown; the investment firm Ramius Capital Group, an ongoing Client who relocated to 666 Third Avenue and subsequently expanded twice at that location, and Cohen & Steers, a real estate investment firm in midtown.
Lynn Boccardi holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Georgetown University, and is an honors graduate of the New York School of Interior Design.
